As other aviation manufacturers are doing, French aerospace company Dassault Aviation is providing expertise, personnel, and equipment to help combat the current international COVID-19 crisis. Dassault is providing two of its Falcon business jets—an ultra-long-range Falcon 8X and a large-cabin Falcon 900—to the French Defense Ministry to supply logistics and medical support for civilian coronavirus control activities as part of Operation Resilience.

From Brest To Paris

Dassault’s first mission utilizing the 15-passenger Falcon 8X and 13-passenger Falcon 900 occurred April 5. The jets transported 26 doctors and other medical personnel back to Paris from Brest, France, where they had accompanied COVID-19 patients to on a special medical train.

Dassault Falcon Service, a subsidiary of Dassault Aviation based at Le Bourget Airport that specializes in maintenance and flight operations, operated the aircraft. Depending on requirements spelled out by the French government, Dassault says it can make one or both aircraft available to the French Air Force’s Resilience unit for various medical applications.
