Embraer continued an already impressive streak it was on in 2019 by shipping 51 of its Phenom 300 and Phenom 300E (Enhanced) light business jets. Pointing to 2019 shipment and billing data released by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association in mid-February, the Brazilian aerospace company says that total makes the series the most-delivered light jet for 2019 and the most-delivered for eight consecutive years.

Leading The World

Launched in 2005 and entered into service in 2009, the Phenom 300 Series has seen 530-plus deliveries overall, making it the “most-delivered business jet of the 2010s,” Embraer says. Compared to its closest competitor, Embraer says the Phenom 300 Series chalked up 20% more deliveries for 2019. As Michael Amalfitano, Embraer Executive Jets CEO and president says, despite the series already being “the best-selling light jet in the world,” Embraer is entering the 2020s with numerous enhancements planned for the Phenom 300E, including performance upgrades that make it the first single-pilot jet to reach Mach 0.80.

Set for delivery beginning in May, the enhanced Phenom 300E will use two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E1 engines to help reach a high-speed cruise of 464 knots. The jet’s range with five passengers aboard, meanwhile, will reach 2,010 nautical miles (3,724 kilometers) with National Business Aviation Association IFR reserves. Other enhancements include availability of the Bossa Nova Edition interior, 4G connectivity via Gogo AVANCE L5, reduced cabin noise, and avionics upgrades that include a ROAAS (runway overrun awareness and alerting system).
